Our investment in automation ensures sample integrity
Our new facility in Rochester, Minnesota was designed and constructed specifically to support our approach to sample storage and management. We designed our facility to house our new Hamilton BiOS LX robotic freezer system, the first of its kind in the United States.
We designed our facility to support our objectives:
- Superior efficiency
- Ability to meet the needs of the smallest storage project to the largest in scope
- Increased standardization of procedures and processes
Whether you’re storing a single sample or millions, we’ll store it safely and retrieve it when you need it.
Single Centralized Facility
Our laboratory and storage facility covers 65,000 square feet of dedicated space. This single, centralized facility provides numerous advantages, including greater efficiency, increased automation, greater uniformity, and increased standardization of procedures and processes, which means high-quality material for investigators. Mayo Clinic Bioservices offers a variety of sample storage solutions with both conventional and robotically controlled freezers. We offer cost-effective and secure sample shipment supported by a national network of courier services, as well as kit building.
